David W. Johnston, Chairman & CEO. – David Johnston is one of the founders of Kootenay, and was also the founder of Braveheart Resources Inc. A former miner with Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting and Hollinger Gold Mine, South Porcupine Ontario, David also has considerable public company experience as a director, and launched an insurance company, Capital Benefits Corp., 26 years ago that remains successful today. David is also a director of the Chamber of Mines of Eastern British Columbia. David has been very active in the Calgary business community and with several local and international charitable organizations.
David A. Johnston, President & Director – David is the son of David W. Johnston (above) and has been involved in the mining sector since 2007, primarily with Braveheart Resources Inc. from 2007 to 2018, being involved in the engineering and geo-technical services area. From 2007 to 2014, he was a Director for the Chamber of Mines of Eastern British Columbia, then becoming a Vice-President in 2016, and becoming President of the Chamber of Mines of Eastern British Columbia in 2016, and still retains this position.
